But first a cheesy Sumato Coffee break story ☕️
Anna eagerly awaited her caramel macchiato. As she grabbed the cup, she chuckled. Instead of "Anna," it read "Banana." Embarrassed, the barista apologized profusely. Laughing, Anna decided the sweet, caramel drink would still taste the same, no matter what name was written on it.

Job News
We recently met a prospective client through a referral from a previous client. Referrals are a testament to our work quality, and we love them. When we do our best, referrals naturally follow. To show our appreciation, we've launched Ramp Talent’s Ambassador Program. By introducing us to potential clients, you can earn a 10% revenue share on any business we secure in the first year.
For Job Seekers:
Are you leveraging your network or just applying to jobs blindly? While it would be ideal to get noticed solely based on your resume, the reality is different. You need to stand out. Connect with people at your target companies and find ways to help them. Building relationships is key.
For Salespeople:
Are you sending cold emails and LinkedIn pitches to strangers? Unless your offer stands out or meets an immediate need, responses are unlikely. Cold outreach can feel like the guy waving a sign on the corner. Instead, focus on honing a skill that opens doors. For example, if you want to excel in project management, offer your services for free initially. As you improve, people will pay you.
While managing projects, connect with people who can help you land a job. Build genuine relationships so they introduce you to others. It's tough to find a job, but many companies struggle to find good candidates.
Building connections takes time, but it's worth it. Find people you have chemistry with and nurture those relationships. Good chemistry within a team goes a long way and expands your network.
We are actively recruiting for great roles and striving to do our best to earn more referrals and build a robust system. Interested in helping your network modernize their recruiting practices and find top talent? Check out Ramp’s Ambassador Program.
I closed A BUNCH of clients through referrals.
No outreach.
Not much sales.
My clients do it for ME.
How?
The art of overdelivering.
There isn't a stronger form of marketing than this.
Let the word spread.

Overheard at coffee ☕️
What is Bill Gates doing in Kemmerer, Wyoming?...
It's been a year since Bill Gates last visited Kemmerer, which is now home to the world’s most advanced nuclear facility. Kemmerer hasn’t seen this much action since the first JC Penney opened in 1902 by James Cash Penney. Raise your hand if you have been to a JC Penney in the past 2 years? But I digress…
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Natrium plant, designed by TerraPower (which Gates founded in 2008), promises safer, cheaper, and more reliable nuclear energy. This project is a game-changer for the local economy, America’s energy independence, and the fight against climate change.
The Natrium plant will provide jobs for former coal plant workers and local construction teams, boosting the community. TerraPower's innovative design, controlling temperatures through physics rather than human operators, marks a significant advancement in nuclear safety and efficiency.
This project thrives on public-private partnerships, with tremendous support from local leaders and the Department of Energy. With regulatory reviews underway and construction set to begin, Kemmerer is poised to become the bedrock of America’s clean energy future. The Natrium plant represents a major step toward abundant, zero-carbon energy for all.
Get ready for some solid recruiting pitches aimed at getting you to move to Kemmerer, Wyoming to add to the 2,000 people who are residing there. One can only wonder if Bill Gates buys his suits at JC Penney’s…

Recruiting Fails: In recruiting, you'll say "no" more often than "yes" to candidates. Occasionally, you'll encounter candidates who react poorly to rejection.
If you’re told your resume isn't a fit, ask for feedback on how to improve and move on. Use the feedback to get better and keep a positive attitude. Taking swift action to improve yourself with a smile is the best response.
Don’t be like the candidates who react badly, like sending pictures of pigs or saying nasty words via email.
FYI: If you're a candidate looking for roles, this isn't how you respond to rejection.
I help folks we pass on to get roles in other companies, but not this loser. x.com/i/web/status/1…
